State of Readiness

- Condition One: Attack is present, or imminent. The CIC is locked down and the ship's commander is on station.

- Condition Two: Threat probable, but not present.

- Condition Three: This is the "all clear" alert, returning crews to their normal, day-to-day non-combat duties after Conditions One or Two. This is normal cruising during wartime.

Today is Independence Day. (At least here in Honduras.)

I got up, took a shower, got dressed and moped around the mall for a couple of hours, listening to my iPod. I alternated for being in the mall to being in my house a couple of times.

Finally, I gave up and called her. Emma. I told her everything under the sun. When I hanged up, I felt a little better, but, I hadn't accomplished anything. I was still at Square One. Afterwards, I went and saw "Made of Honor". It's a feel-good flick and I'm seriously thinking about suing somebody for this flick, because, that's the story of my life. Although, I doubt that I would crash through the door of a church (watch the movie and you'll get it), but, never say never.

I feel like an idiot. I feel remorse. I feel like I'm chasing the wind. Postponing the inevitable. The North won. He won because went I finally wised up and fought for her, it was too late. And she couldn't (wouldn't) take me back.

It's my own damn fault.
